Este 14 de marzo, en el sector El Guayabal del Distrito Catamayo, mediante un operativo de interdicción de carreteras, personal de la Unidad de Control Operativo Fronterizo, procedió a la retención de un automotor que en su plataforma de carga llevaba recipientes con sustancias químicas peligrosas.
Los uniformados en el cumplimiento de su trabajo, detuvieron la marcha de un pesado automotor, tipo camión carrocería metálica con placas Azuay, a cuyo conductor se le solicitó que abrá la puerta posterior constatando que transportaba 100 Canecas plásticas color negro y tapa roja, con capacidad para 2 mil Litros de Ácido Nítrico, sin presentar la documentación habilitante para el transporte de esta Sustancia Química Peligrosa.
Con estos antecedentes se procedió a la retención del vehículo e incautación de las canecas con sustancias químicas peligrosas.
