La Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL) inició hoy, lunes 7 de abril, el periodo académico abril-agosto 2025, con más de 40.000 estudiantes en sus modalidades presencial, a distancia y en línea, en programas de tecnología, grado y posgrado.
Desde este ciclo académico, la UTPL implementa su Modelo Integral de Acompañamiento (MIA), una innovadora estrategia institucional que busca apoyar a los estudiantes en todas las etapas de su formación universitaria, fortaleciendo su bienestar y mejorando su experiencia educativa.
Soledad Peña Pachar, gerente de Atención y Experiencia UTPL, señala que este modelo articula de forma coordinada los diferentes servicios de apoyo al estudiante, con el objetivo de fomentar la fidelización, reducir la deserción y potenciar el éxito académico, personal y profesional “en la UTPL estamos comprometidos con transformar vidas y contextos. Nuestro modelo de acompañamiento coloca al estudiante en el centro, procurando su bienestar integral y brindándole una experiencia educativa positiva en cada etapa de su carrera”, destaca Peña.
El Modelo Integral de Acompañamiento (MIA) contempla acciones dirigidas a cinco componentes clave: académico, administrativo, financiero, psicosocial y de vida universitaria. Para su implementación, se ha estructurado en tres ejes principales. El primero es el acompañamiento preventivo, orientado a identificar de manera temprana factores de riesgo que puedan afectar el desempeño académico, emocional, financiero o administrativo de los estudiantes.
El segundo eje es el acompañamiento según escenarios y riesgos, que se basa en el análisis de datos y en el mapeo de situaciones específicas que podrían comprometer la permanencia de los alumnos en la universidad. Finalmente, el tercer eje corresponde al acompañamiento bajo demanda, un enfoque flexible en el que los consejeros estudiantiles ofrecen apoyo personalizado y oportuno de acuerdo con las necesidades inmediatas de cada estudiante.
Como parte de esta estrategia, la UTPL también ha incorporado tecnologías innovadoras que facilitan la interacción de los estudiantes con los servicios universitarios. Entre ellas destaca InfoPlus, una aplicación móvil que ofrece acceso rápido a información clave como horarios de clases, rutas de transporte, eventos académicos y noticias institucionales.
