Mientras el personal policial se encontraba realizando los patrullajes respectivos, reciben la alerta del Sistema Integrado Ecu 9-1-1, donde les pidieron dirigirse hasta el sector de Las Pitas con la finalidad de interceptar un vehículo tipo taxi, en el cual, presuntamente se trasladaban dos personas quienes, en el transcurso de la noche y madrugada del sábado 28 de diciembre, habrían robado teléfonos celulares en diferentes sectores de la ciudad de Loja.
Al interceptar el vehículo y proceder a registrar a los dos ocupantes, encontraron en su posesión dos teléfonos celulares, más chip de operadoras telefónicas; por lo que procedieron a localizar a una de las personas afectadas, quien procedió a identificar al vehículo y a uno de los causantes del robo de su teléfono, por lo que se realizó la inmediata aprehensión.
Mientras a los ciudadanos Raúl T.C., de 26 años y Fabián G.Q., de 28 años, se les realizaba la valoración médica respectiva, el móvil a cargo de este hecho tuvo que dirigirse hasta la UPC de la Terminal Terrestre, para verificar la entrega de siete teléfonos celulares dentro de una cartera, que habrían sido encontrados cerca del sendero de Jipiro, por un ciudadano que caminaba por el lugar.
Al tratarse de un delito flagrante, los ciudadanos fueron ingresados al Centro de Detención Provisional de Loja, para que la autoridad competente proceda como corresponde.
