Un deslizamiento de tierra ocurrido en la ciudad de Celica ha dejado un saldo trágico de dos personas fallecidas, ambas de sexo femenino, y una persona de sexo masculino rescatada con vida. La emergencia se registró el día de ayer, arrasando con una vivienda y poniendo en riesgo a varias familias del sector.
Este domingo, las autoridades realizaron un recorrido por las zonas afectadas y de alto riesgo. La inspección contó con la presencia del alcalde de Celica, Ing. Julio Bustamante, la gobernadora de Loja, Alexandra Jara, y representantes de instituciones locales y provinciales. Durante la jornada se evaluó la situación y se procedió a la evacuación de al menos una docena de familias que se encuentran en peligro. Además, se notificó a más de 50 familias para que abandonen sus viviendas por estar ubicadas en áreas de alto riesgo de deslaves.
El alcalde Bustamante lamentó la tragedia, señalando que «este desastre nos ha golpeado muy duro, Celica pierde dos mujeres valiosas. Ahora nos queda trabajar de manera conjunta por el resto de familias que también están siendo afectadas por las intensas lluvias y los continuos deslizamientos».
La gobernadora Alexandra Jara, en coordinación con las distintas carteras de Estado, anunció la entrega de kits de ayuda humanitaria para las familias afectadas. Además, desde la Alcaldía se ha gestionado la intervención de instituciones estatales para brindar asistencia y mitigar los riesgos en la zona.
Las autoridades hacen un llamado a la ciudadanía a mantenerse alerta y seguir las indicaciones para evitar mayores pérdidas humanas y materiales, mientras continúan las labores de evaluación y atención en las áreas afectadas.
